The great state of North Carolina is one of the best places to call home. Separated into a large amount of counties, there are many unique towns and cities within the state. As one of the 13 original colonies, there is a ton of history in North Carolina just waiting for you to explore!

There are many delicious places to eat in North Carolina. Print Works Bistro, named one of the Top Best Brunch Restaurants in America, is a wonderful place to go for not only brunch but every meal. Located in Greensboro, it is good place to go for an appetizing meal and it is close to two of our DLP Property Management communities– The Village at Rankin and The Village at Summit Station! On the western side of the state, try “Biscuit Head”, which serves the warm, southern delicacy– biscuits! If you want somewhere a little more east, try Jacs Grill in Wilson, NC! Jacs has an array of inviting lunch and dinner options. Jacs is not too far from our Village at Heritage Place community!

North Carolina is full of a lot of fun places to see! The Outer Banks, Nags Head, and Corolla make up some of our beautiful beaches where there are so many eventful things to do such as Wild Horse Tours, exploring lighthouses, and water activities like fishing, kayaking, and surfing! There are a number of interesting museums across the state of North Carolina as well. Baseball is a fun pastime dating way back. The North Carolina Baseball Museum, located in Wilson, takes you through the history of the beloved sport and showcases fascinating memorabilia from players like Richie Ashburn! If you want to learn more about the state in which you call home, check out the North Carolina Museum of History which lies in the capital, Raleigh. Speaking of history, did you know North Carolina is where the Orville Brothers flew the first plane? Visit the Wright Brothers National Memorial to pay your respects and learn all about the two who made it possible to fly!

As mentioned before, our communities lie in the towns of Wilson and Greensboro. If you are a college student at Barton College, The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Greensboro College, Guilford College, or any other college or university in the area looking for a place to live while in school, we recommend checking out our communities for your new place to call home!

Overall, North Carolina is not just a state. It is a vacation destination, an educational journey, a historical landmark, and a home.
